40 theaters in Iran host Fajr-nominated movie ‘Patrol 2’

Movie theaters in Iran has started screening Iranian movie ‘Patrol 2’ directed by Saeed Soheili since Wednesday.

The movie went on the silver screen in more than 40 theater halls in the country for Nowruz.

The movie is a sequel to ‘Guidance Petrol’ which picked up three Fajr Fest Simorgh nominations for Best Actor In a Leading Role--Hamid Farrokhnejad and Best Actor In a Supporting Role-- Saed Soheili and Poulad Kimiayi as well as Best Special Effects--Hamid Rasoulian.

The movie is about Abbas and Hassan who have served their five-year prison terms. Upon their release from jail, they look for Ata who has recently woken up from coma.

Now the three friends are looking for decent jobs. Unsuccessful in their job hunts, they may slip again.

Some stars of the film include Hamid Farrokhnejad, Saed Soheili, Poulad Kimiayi, Sara Soheili, Bahareh Afshari, Safar Kashkouli and Mehdi Mahani.

The Persian new year, Nowruz, begins as the first day of spring arrives in Iran, where people hold ceremonies for the onset of the season.
